A 34-YEAR-old man from west Suffolk was this morning arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two young girls in town centre shops last year.

The man, who lives in Barrow, was arrested in connection with Suffolk police's investigation into a sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl at Waterstone's in Bury and a separate sex assault on a 12-year-old girl at the Baker's Oven in Newmarket. Both incidents were reported in October last year.

The man was earlier arrested on suspicion of two indecent assaults on a 12-year-old girl at the Warehouse Clearance Store in Anglian Lane, Bury, and a 10-year-old girl at Wh Smith in Cornhill, Bury, on Tuesday last week.

He was today released on police bail until May 8.
