Three arrests have been made following an attempted ram raid at a shop on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border.
The incident happened at the Co-op store in Mill Street, Isleham, located near Mildenhall, at around 4.35am today.
A police helicopter was dispatched to help track down the suspects.
Three men were arrested and taken into custody for questioning.
A police spokesman said: ““An investigation has been launched by detectives the following an attempted ram raid in Cambridgeshire in the early hours of this morning.
“Officers attended the scene, along with the police helicopter, and shortly afterwards three men were arrested.
“They have been taken to police custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing.”
There have been a string of ram raids on Co-op stores across Suffolk and north Essex over the past year.
