Charity Arthritis Action will host an event in Bury St Edmunds next week.

On Tuesday, February 27, from 6pm until 8pm, a podiatrist will talk about how his specialism can help people with arthritis at the Centre in St Johns Street.

Bury St Edmunds-based Arthritis Action member, Valerie Axton, said: “I’m an Arthritis Action member and have enjoyed the local group meetings in which members have shared experiences and useful tips on managing arthritis. I especially value the input from health professionals in different spheres who give practical advice that you can apply to your everyday life.”

“Sometimes I find that the meetings act as an incentive and encourage me to try something new. There are many benefits to be gained from joining.”

Shantel Irwin, chief executive of Arthritis Action, said: “Around 10 million people in the UK live with arthritis. We are delighted to be bringing people with arthritis in Suffolk together to learn about the podiatry services available to them, and to help them understand how podiatry can help improve their mobility and function, and thereby improve their quality of life.”

To attend, email info@arthritisaction.org.uk or call 020 3781 7120 to attend.
