The B1069 Leiston Road near Aldringham is closed because of a burst water main.
The road is closed in both directions at the B1353 junction while repairs are underway.
It is understood that the main is repaired, but work is ongoing to repair the road surface.
It is believed one lane will be opened later this morning with traffic signals.
