The University of Essex Babylab will hold a ‘breakfast with the experts’ event for parents wanting to find out more about how to raise a happy, healthy child.
The Q&A session on Saturday, June 23, will cover everything from baby development to discipline, and will be led by experts from the Babylab, which carries out scientific studies on child development, and BabyBrains, which helps parents put scientific research into practice.
Dr Silvia Rigato, from Babylab, said: “Our research can help parents become more aware of their child’s development. This project is the first step in empowering them with scientific knowledge and tools which can help them give their children the best start in life.”
The session is part of a four-day event, aimed at organisations and health professionals working with young families, which will include workshops, round-table discussions and training sessions.
The aim is to improve services and support for families, by bridging the gap between lab-based research and community services.
The session will start at 10am at the University of Essex’s Colchester campus. Book your free ticket on EventBrite. For more information, contact the Babylab on 07548 189463, or email babylab@essex.ac.uk
