CONVICTED killer Jeremy Bamber's legal team tonight claimed he had “conclusively” passed a lie detector test and proved his innocence.

A lawyer for the 45-year-old, who was jailed for life for the murder of five members of his family, said he took the test at Full Sutton prison near York, earlier today.

Giovanni di Stefano said the murderer was asked a series of questions, including whether he carried out the killings.

Mr di Stefano said the results confirmed that Bamber was “telling the truth” and he is now calling for him to be released.

He said: “He has passed conclusively the lie detector test.

“I will now be asking the Secretary of State to refer the case to the Parole Board with a view to them releasing him.”
