There has been a road traffic collision on the Elveden Road in Barnham this evening.

Fire crews, ambulances and police attended the scene of the crash around 4.30pm today which involved a white Ford Escort van and a red DAS lorry.

One fire engine from Brandon, two from Thetford and a rescue vehicle from Bury St Edmunds arrived at the scene just before 5pm.

The driver of the van was trapped and fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release him.

Both of the drivers received injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing and were taken by ambulance to West Suffolk Hospital.
