Police are investigating two car fires which took place in north Suffolk overnight.
A Ford Galaxy was set alight opposite a church in Hall Road, Barsham, at around 11.45pm last night. Firefighters had put out the blaze by 12.30am today.
A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said a witness told fire crews that he saw a suspicious dark blue Vauxhall Astra nearby.
Firefighters were later called to tackle the flames which engulfed a Range Rover in Pitmans Grove, Bramfield.
Fire crews believe the vehicle was broken into and “torched”, the police spokesman said.
The blaze, which broke out at around 3.15am, was extinguished by 3.35am.
Both incidents are being treated as deliberate. They took place within around 15 miles of each other.
Police are urging witnesses or people with information about these incidents to come forward. Call 101.
