Youngsters in Bawdsey have had a colourful time learning about the Hindu festival of Holi.
Despite the wintry weather students Bawdsey CEVC Primary School were treated to dance workshops in the morning followed by the throwing of brightly coloured powder paint in the afternoon.
Kalpesh Zalavadiya from K’z Dance was on hand to help students get to grips with the dance techniques and also took part in the powder throwing in the snow in the afternoon.
Headteacher Katie Butler said that it had been important for youngsters to experience different cultures particularly in a very rural school like Bawdsey.
“It was so different for the children.
“It was like an art gallery. It was magical.”
Parents also got involved in the celebration with members of staff at the school adding that the day’s events were “what teaching should be about.”
