Greater Anglia are starting to reopen some lines after St Jude’s storm.
However the only place in Suffolk currently receiving a service is Lowestoft, and only from Norwich.
Th rest of the county will have to wait for what could be several more hours before a basic service is restored.
Greater Anglia are advising people not to travel today and that any tickets already purchased will be valid for tomorrow.
Network Rail engineers are beginning to make repairs to damaged parts of the rail system but in some places wind speeds are still too high for them to work in.
