A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital after he was involved in a collision with a car on the A12 this afternoon.
The 45-year-old man was pedalling near to the Tesco roundabout at Martlesham when he was involved in the crash with a white Peugeot car at just before 4pm.
Paramedics did not report any serious injuries but have taken him to Ipswich Hospital as a precautionary measure to be checked over.
Motorists faced delays in the area while police temporarily closed off the road while medical assistance arrived.
