FIREFIGHTERS have been called into action after a barn containing hundreds of tonnes of grain went up in flames.
Crews were called to New Street in Glemsford following reports of fire at the barn, measuring around 15 metres by 10 metres, shortly before 8.30am.
A spokesman for the fire service said the building contained around 400 tonnes of grain with several bails of straw stacked around it.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using a single hose reel to tackle the flames.
