FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a blaze in a large farm shed that contained propane cylinders.

The fire started at about 5.15pm at a property in Lound Road, Blundeston, near Lowestoft.

Two crews from Lowestoft South Fire Station were sent to the scene and found the work shed, measuring about 20 metres by 20 metres, well alight.

The flames spread to a nearby caravan and a third crew from Lowestoft North was called to assist as the shed contained both the gas cylinders and other chemicals.

Firefighters wearing breathing equipment used hose reel jets to put out the blaze and stayed at the farm to damp down the site for about 30 minutes.
