BRITPOP superstars Blur are to honour their Essex roots when they play a warm-up for their forthcoming summer reunion concerts in the village of Wakes Colne, near Colchester.
The gig, which will be for members of the band's fan club only, will take place at the East Anglian Railway Museum - the scene of their first ever live performance back in 1988.
Proceeds from the June 13 show will be split between the museum's charity and the Aldham Village Hall Restoration Fund.
