A BOAT carrying two people had to be rescued this evening because it was taking on water.
The vessel, called the Janet Hoyle, was taking on water close to the entrance of the River Crouch at Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex at about 6.15pm.
The boat was located by lifeboat teams and taken to Brightlingsea Harbour. Nobody was injured in the incident.
