POLICE in Essex have launched a murder enquiry following the discovery of a man's body in a disused Scout hut.

POLICE in Essex have launched a murder enquiry following the discovery of a man's body in a disused Scout hut.

The man, believed to be in his forties, was discovered in Kingswood Park, Clay Hill Road, Basildon.

Police were contacted shortly before 1pm yesterday , following the discovery of the body. The area was cordoned off while they investigated the scene.

Police are treating the death of the man, who has not yet been identified, as suspicious.
