THE body of a young man found close to a creek has this afternoon been identified as missing teenager Daniel Hannant.

The 19-year-old's body was found just after 4pm yesterday between Mights Road and Blyth Road allotments on the Blyth Road side of Buss Creek in Southwold.

Mr Hannant, from Reydon, was last seen at around 11.30pm on Saturday night.

He had been for a night out with friends in Southwold.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: “As is standard procedure, Mr Hannant's death is currently being treated as unexplained, but at this stage there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

“A post mortem examination has been carried out this morning, which proved inconclusive. Further tests are to be carried out.”
