BOMB squad officers were called to Lower Brook Street in Ipswich this morning.
BOMB squad officers were called to Customs House in Lower Brook Street in Ipswich today after a suspicious package was found in the mail room.
A bomb disposal vehicle arrived just after 11.30am and the building was evacuated.
However, within 15 minutes officers had declared the package as being safe. It turned out to be a mobile phone charger.
Staff Sergeant Gary Hale, from 621 EOD Squadron, said: “Once the package was ex-rayed it turned out not to be a suspicious package, it was a normal item sent through the post. But they did the right thing by calling us.”
