The Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge Bonsai Club, which is based at the Moreton Hall Community Centre, promoted the Japanese tree art form at the centre on Sunday.

Andrew Ryland, vice chairman of the club, said: “It’s just an appreciation of bonsai itself.

“It’s a culture and an art form. It’s an interesting hobby.”

People could also watch bonsai demonstrations.
