LEISTON Football Club have received a massive boost ahead of tomorrow's game with Fleetwood, with the promise of support from British Energy, owners of Sizewell B Power station.
On the eve of the Victory Road club's FA Cup first round match, the tie-up is part of what both parties hope will be an on-going business relationship between them, and Leiston chairman Andy Crisp is delighted.
“We are thrilled with the help British Energy are affording us,” he said.
“Obviously the town of Leiston and Sizewell B sit side by side and it's fantastic for their support for what is our biggest game ever.”
Jim Crawford, Plant Manager at Sizewell B power station said: "Sizewell B is an important part of the community and so to is Leiston football club.
“A number of our staff are involved with the club and many more support it, so we felt it only right that British Energy as a company show its support for the team.
"The excitement around the power station since Leiston reached the first round of the FA Cup has been enormous and everyone at Sizewell B wishes Leiston the best of luck."
