A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was left with cuts and bruises after a hit and run incident in a Suffolk village.

The boy was cycling along the road when a vehicle collided with him, causing him to fall from the bike.

He was struck by a silver four-wheel-drive which failed to stop on a road in Capel St Andrew, near Butley.

Police said the incident happened close to the Iron Man statue on Hollesley Road at about 2.50pm yesterday.

The driver of the vehicle didn't stop and drove off towards Hollesley.

An older couple travelling in the opposite direction, in a Subaru-estate type vehicle, stopped and spoke to the teenager.

Police are urging them and anyone else who may have seen accident or the vehicle involved to call Woodbridge police on 01473 613500.
