Paramedics were called to Mildenhall after a child fell from his motorbike.

The accident happened just after 2pm yesterday at a motocross course and the crew of the East Anglian Air Ambulance landed in a nearby field and were escorted by land to the young boy.

Doctor Akos Soti and critical-care paramedic Chris Neil found the boy had hit his right shoulder and pelvis and suffered injuries to his arm, hand and abdomen.

Once assessed and stabilised, he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by helicopter.

The patient is in a stable condition.
