Highways England are warning drivers to allow for extra time if they are planning to travel between Marks Tey and Braintree this morning as a result of emergency work on the road.
Utilities contractors are currently carrying out emergency repair work on the westbound side of the road at Bradwell.
There are temporary traffic lights in place with congestion building in the area.
Highways England are recommending that drivers leave an extra 10-15 mins for their journey time.
