FIREFIGHTERS were called after smoke was spotted billowing from a piece of office equipment.
The shredder caught fire at TBS Returns in Factory Lane, Brantham shortly before 12.40pm.
A crew from Holbrook fire station and another from Manningtree were alerted and discovered a small fire in the paper shredder and compactor.
The incident was under control by 1.50pm.
