FIRE crews are on the scene of a possible house fire in a Suffolk village.
The fire service was alerted at 3.48pm to reports of smoke issuing from a house in Wiseman Place, Brantham.
Two pumps from Holbrook and Manningtree fire stations attended the incident, and quickly requested the back up of another engine from Princes Street.
Firefighters managed to put out the blaze – in the kitchen of the end-of-terrace house – by 4.17pm using hose reel jets, but remained on scene to clear the property of smoke.
