DRIVERS in Lowestoft faced more woes as Bascule Bridge was again closed to road users.
The two halves of the bridge failed to close at about 5am this morning and engineers are still trying to fix the problem.
Police are diverting traffic from the A12 to the A1117, meaning more delays and blockages are expected in Lowestoft and Oulton Broad.
Parents with children at least one school have been asked to take their children in today, as transport will not be running.
A temporary footbridge is in place for pedestrians and cyclists but the bridge is expected to reopen at about 10am and drivers are advised to find an alternative route until then.
