A jet-ski owner had to be rescued by the coastguard yesterday after running aground near Brightlingsea.
At 11.32am the owner contacted Thames Coastguard saying the jet-ski had run aground and the two people on board required assistance.
Brightlingsea Harbour Patrol Vessel was requested to assist, and the jet-ski was soon located and towed to Coopers Beach safe and well.
