The Brook Inn in Washbrook will be staging a special Saturday lunch tomorrow with Stutton Community Shop and the Shotley Pier initiative.
Brook Inn director Andrew Burl said:“We are a community-owned pub so on Saturday lunchtime we’re joining up with the shop and pier to mark an important weekend. Because we are a food pub, we thought we’d concentrate on food!
“We’ve got a great menu specifically for Saturday which includes lots of GF options. It’s not just for our respective groups, it’s open to everyone so I’d urge people to come along and help us celebrate.”
A television crew will be filming the get-together for the organisation Power to Change.
The free house was bought in a community buy-out in August 2014 after an 18 month fundraising campaign.
