The residential home, on Bucklesham Road, was named winner of the best Innovation to Engage People with Dementia award at the annual Hallmark in Bloom gardening competition.
Judges visited the care home in July, along with Hallmark’s 17 other homes across the UK, and the results were announced this month.
Kirsty Thomas, lifestyle co-ordinator at Bucklesham Grange, said: “We are delighted. We actively encourage all of our residents to get involved in gardening and we try and make the garden as stimulating as possible so every walk around the grounds is an opportunity to reminisce and interact.
“We would like to thank the care team, our volunteers, family, friends and all of our fantastic residents who help us to utilise our outdoor space throughout the year.”
Entrants were judged on resident involvement, best recording of gardening activities, visual appeal, and use of fresh produce in the home.
