POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a Hollesley Bay prisoner who failed to return after being granted a temporary release licence.

POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a Hollesley Bay prisoner who failed to return after being granted a temporary release licence.

Sunder Meyyappan, 52, who was serving three years and six months for house burglary, was given a temporary release licence to his home address in north-west London on June 16. He was due to return to the prison on Friday 20 June but failed to appear at his collection point.

Meyyappan is described as having a dark complexion and being of Asian appearance, 6ft tall, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police are advising anyone who sees Meyyappan not to approach him but to alert officers immediately by dialling 999.
