A LARGE quantity of cigarettes was stolen after burglars broke into Darsham Service Station in Main Road, Darsham, at about 9.15pm last night.

Police were alerted after an alarm was triggered just before 9.20pm. Officers attended and found a door had been smashed in order to gain entry. The thieves had then entered the shop and stolen cigarettes of various brands.

Three offenders wearing balaclavas and hooded tops were seen in the shop and they arrived and left in a vehicle.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around this time last night, anyone who saw anything suspicious, or anyone with information about the burglars to call Leiston CID on 01986 835300 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
