Firefighters had to be called to monitor a burning stack of pig manure today.
An appliance from East Harling was sent to Knettishall Heath Country Park after the incident was reported at 5.43pm.
Further appliances from Thetford and Ixworth were then requested, with the fire under control by 7pm.
The fire was reportedly a 100m by 20m pile of manure which was eventually allowed to burn out as there was no risk of the blaze spreading.
Inspections were being carried out every four hours to monitor it.
