AN 18-MONTH-OLD child who was locked in her grandmother’s car was freed by firefighters today.
The incident happened in Cattle Market car park, Parkway South, Bury St Edmunds.
A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We received a call from a grandmother at 1.49pm today about an 18-month-old child who was locked in her car.”
Firefighters arrived on the scene at 1.52pm and the child was freed at 2.05pm.
The spokesman added it was not known how the child become locked in the car.
It is believed the child suffered no injuries.
