The chance to meet a Strictly Come Dancing star is just one of the lots going under the hammer to raise money for a hospital’s neonatal unit.

Bidding starts on Sunday for the auction, which is in aid of the unit at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

Lots on offer include meeting Strictly star Brendan Cole and watch him perform in Ipswich, a youth training session from Rugby World Cup winner Andy Gomarsall or a meal for six cooked in your own home by renowned chef Regis Crepy.

People can also bid for a day at Newmarket Races followed by cocktails, dinner and an overnight stay at the Angel Hotel in Bury, tea with David Ruffley MP at the House of Commons or a masterclass with Ipswich Town goalkeeper Scott Loach.

Archant newspapers, which owns the East Anglian Daily Times, has donated its executive box at Portman Road for six people to watch Ipswich Town’s home match against Nottingham Forest on March 29.

The auction, which ends at 10pm on December 15, will be run by Lacy Scott & Knight. To register visit www.the-saleroom.co.uk, with the lots added at the end of this week. For a full list of the lots visit www.wsh.nhs.uk/Charity To donate a prize contact Dave Gooderham on 01284 712952.
