A WOMAN who ended up with a ring stuck on her finger walked into a fire station to plead for help.

The woman arrived at Bury St Edmunds fire station shortly before 2pm today.

A spokesman for the fire service said the woman had tried easing it off using washing up liquid but without success.

He said the crew in Bury used a diamond saw to cut through it.

He said: “It can be repaired fairly easily by a jeweller. It happens more than you would think.”

The ring came off successfully at 2.03pm.
