FIRE crews were scrambled to a Bury St Edmunds home amid reports of a house fire.
The alarm was raised for a property in Flemyng Road shortly before 1pm.
Crews arrived to find smoke and the smell of burning coming from an electric appliance at the property.
But the fire itself had been put out by the time they had arrived.
