The 30th anniversary of Bury St Edmunds Fire Station being located at its current location was celebrated with an open day.
A number of games and activities took place at the event on Sunday, September 10, and children had the chance to climb on board a fire engine.
There was also a raffle , refreshments and demonstrations from firefighters and the chance to meet fire mascot Blaze Bear.
The Parkway North station, which was opened by the Duke of Gloucester on September 10, 1987, is now shared with the ambulance service, who also attended the open day.
Around 750 people attended the event, which raised more than £1,200 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
Bury firefighter Nicky Breitsprecher said: “The day was a great success and we had amazing support from the public, with about 750 people walking in throughout the day.
“Many thanks to all the other agencies that helped the day go smoothly – the Salvation Army, fire prevention teams, blood bike team, Centre Academy East Anglia, ambulance, police, our fire volunteers and Blaze Bear.
“With the help of all these people we raised over £1,200 for the Fire Fighters Charity.”
