A teenage girl had her foot run over when she was trying to use a pedestrian crossing in Bury St Edmunds.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Tuesday at the crossing near to the County Upper School in Beetons Way. Other vehicles had stopped at the crossing to let the girl cross but as she did so a small black hatchback drove past, running over her foot.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who may know who saw the car in the area at the time to get in contact.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
