Bury St Edmunds: Man brandished handgun during armed robbery at Hardwick Lane store

Police in Bury have launched an investigation after a robbery at a convenience store, during which a suspect is believed to have brandished a handgun.

The incident happened at 10.15pm last night at a shop in Hardwick Lane.

A police spokesman said: “The suspect snatched the till which has since been recovered. We don’t know if threats were made. We are not aware of any injuries and no shots were fired.”
