There has been a “smash and grab” at the One Stop Store in Cadogan Road, Bury St Edmunds, in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said they were alerted at 1.03am after an alarm was triggered in the building.
The shop door had been ram raided with a vehicle and cigarettes, alcohol and a small amount of cash were stolen.
An empty cash tray from the ATM machine was also taken.
When police got there the thieves had already gone, but a light cluster from the vehicle was still in the door.
The shop was closed at the time of the burglary.
An area around the premises has been cordoned off while investigations continue.
