A total of 16 workshops involving schools and organisations across Bury St Edmunds have taken place to create artwork for an exhibition.
The project involved people aged from two to 97, with nurseries, schools, West Suffolk College, care homes and sheltered housing all taking part.
A workshop was held at St Edmund’s Primary School on Monday, July 9, with the Bury in Bloom’s artist in residence to create large 3D flowers using a wide variety of techniques and materials.
The full display of artwork will be in the St Edmundsbury Cathedral cloisters from July 16 to August 5, and will include pictures of the town’s historic landmarks as backdrops.
Bury St Edmunds MP Jo Churchill will officially open the exhibition at 4.30pm on Friday.
The project has been sponsored by Bury-based company Treatt and with locality budgets from Andrew Speed and Joanna Rayner from the Bury St Edmunds Town Council.
