A woman, thought to be in her 60s, was airlifted to hospital in a “life threatening” condition after collapsing in Bury St Edmunds.
The patient was taken ill in Leech Walk shortly before 5pm today and was not breathing when paramedics arrived.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance service described her condition as “very serious, possibly life threatening”.
Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent to attend the patient as well as the air ambulance, which took her to West Suffolk Hospital.
