Insurance broker the Heath Lambert Group has been named Financial Services Supplier of the Year at the 2003 UK Charity Awards.
It is a major triumph for the group's Norwich-based Heath Lambert Affinity Partnerships division, which provides travel, home and car insurance developed in association with charities, unions and employers.
Sixty people work at Heath Lambert's Norwich office, in St Faiths Lane.
The award recognises both excellence in the financial professional services offered to the charity sector and, importantly, the additional sector work the firm does.
Heath Lambert's lobbying on behalf of the charity sector over issues such as high premiums and poor availability of cover have won acclaim.
The judges praised Heath Lambert, saying: "The firm has strongly lobbied its own industry on behalf of the voluntary sector."
Since 2001, Heath Lambert has worked with Diabetes UK, the MS Society, the ME Association and the MG Association.
