A coffee morning at Basepoint business centre in Ipswich raised a massive £800 as part of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Basepoint staff and licensees took part in another cake-fuelled event at the centre and raised lots of money for the cancer care charity.

Anyone who has been to an event at Basepoint Ipswich must realise now that staff and licensees never do anything by halves- and this includes the production and consumption of cake and coffee.

Taking this factor in to account the Macmillan Coffee Morning held on the September 28 was an event practically tailored to the centre.

Thanks to a joint effort between Basepoint licensees ‘Angels By Classic’ and centre staff, the break out area was overflowing with home-made cakes (and maybe a couple of shop-bought ones) donated by a variety of the clients and businesses.

Not only did everyone have a variety of amazing cakes to eat, they also had a selection of hot coffee provided at no charge by Eddie of JDE Pro (who own Kenco & Douwe Egberts) who are supporting Macmillan as their chosen charity this year and had seen the event advertised via social media.

On top of all the food and frivolity, Angels By Classic had arranged a raffle- which included prizes such as a country break, Louboutin phone case, champagne and much more.

In total, the day raised a total of £864.89 which has been donated straight to Macmillan.
