AN East Anglian composting company has appointed a technical development manger to support its ongoing business expansion.

Ben Dyson joins the Composting Company, at Horseheath, near Haverhill, to help develop its amenity division, which supplies quality compost and amenity products across the UK.

Mr Dyson was formerly head of the organics programme for the East of England Development Agency-funded Remade East, and chair of Remade Network UK special interest group for organics.

He brings with him more than 10 years' experience in landscape construction and amenity horticulture.

He qualified in rural resource management and was made an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management. He established his own successful landscape construction and maintenance business before joining Remade Essex in 2005.

The Composting Company operates an open window composting facility in Newmarket where it manufactures soil conditioners and mulches.
