West Suffolk craft brewery Brewshed has more than doubled its capacity with a move to new premises at Ingham, near Bury St Edmunds.

Brewshed has been operating from a five-barrel capacity brewery housed in a shed in the grounds of The Beerhouse in Bury since 2011, supplying its sister pubs and other customers.

Since 2013 it also been supplying bottled cocoa beers to luxury chocolatier Hotel Chocolat and, with demand continuing to grow, a decision was made earlier this year to expand, resulting in a move to a new 12-barrel facility at Place Farm, Ingham.

David Marjoram of Brewshed said “We’ve had an amazing time developing Brewshed over the past five years and can’t wait to scale-up production in our ‘newshed’.”

Brewshed, which is part of independent family-owned company Gusto Pronto, run by David and his wife Roxane, brews three regular beers – Pale Ale, Best Bitter and American Blonde – along with other seasonal ales.

Besides The Beerhouse, its sister pubs include the One Bull, also in Bury, the Cadogan in Ingham and the Crown in Hartest.
