AFFORDABLE housing procurement and project management firm Oxbury & Company has appointed two new assistant quantity surveyors at its Chelmsford office.

AFFORDABLE housing procurement and project management firm Oxbury & Company has appointed two new assistant quantity surveyors at its Chelmsford office.

Brigid Snooke and James Hawton have joined the firm, which has offices in Chelmsford and Norwich and works with affordable housing providers throughout East Anglia and beyond.

Ms Snooke joins from a Basildon property management company, where she was project manager. Brought up in Wales, she studied at Southend and is now embarking on a five-year degree in quantity surveying at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford. Outside of work, she has an interest in animals and is a keen horsewoman.

Mr Hawton, who graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in sports development and marketing, was brought up in Chelmsford. He is now embarking on a three-year graduate diploma in quantity surveying at Anglia Ruskin University. He is a keen footballer, and is also interested in technology and computing.

Jo Loveday, who heads the company's Chelmsford operation, said: “Brigid and James join an experienced team here, and given the considerable growth in business, they have been thrown right into the thick of it from day one.”
