IPSWICH Building Society opened a new agency in Southwold’s high street yesterday – a week after venturing into Norfolk for the first time.

Staff at the new agency, at law firm Margary & Miller, are fully trained to welcome new and existing customers to Ipswich Building Society savings products.

Chief executive Paul Winter said: “We are delighted to be expanding our network by opening an agency at 73 High Street, Southwold, within an existing established, professional business.

“While other providers have been reducing their offices, the society is delighted with this opportunity to assist local people with a town centre location, making life much easier for those needing access to their savings.”

Last week, the society opened an agency at The Finance Shop in Gorleston-on-Sea, near Great Yarmouth.
