Treatt, the Suffolk-based supplier of innovative ingredient solutions for the flavour, fragrance and consumer goods industries, has been named among the winners in the East of England round of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Business Awards for 2016.

The Bury St Edmunds company won the Commitment to People Development award, and will now go forward to the national final of the awards in London in November where it will be up against other regional winners from around the country. John Dugmore, chief executive of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said: “This award is thoroughly well deserved.

“Treatt is a successful company for lots of reasons, but it’s clear that a major factor has been their investment in their workforce over many years.

“One of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s key strategic priorities is to boost the skills base of the county’s workforce over the longer-term and there is no doubt in my mind that Treatt is an exemplary company in this regard.”

Daemmon Reeve, chief executive of Treatt , said: “We are very proud to receive this award. Our colleagues are the key differentiator in a competitive marketplace and are at the centre of everything we do at Treatt.

“This recognition is testament to the commitment and engagement of the team who are driving success every day by ensuring we invest in and train our people to enable them to have happy and successful careers.”
