A BAR and restaurant in Bury St Edmunds officially offers the best pub burgers in Britain.
Benson Blakes in St John’s Street has beaten off competition to win the Britain’s best burger offer category in the National Pub Food Challenge 2013, which is run by the Publican’s Morning Advertiser.
Speaking ahead of the announcement, Tim Blake, who owns Benson Blakes with his father Steve, said they used fresh ingredients and did not over-complicate the burger.
“It’s 100% what we say it is. We try to use the best ingredients we can.”
Benson Blakes was 2012 East Anglian Daily Times Customer Service Award finalist.
